The weld metal of E 310 is a full austenite structure (26.5Cr-1Ni). Heat resistance, corrosion resistanceand toughness of E 310 are good without the need of pre-heat and post-weld heat treatment. lt is suitablefor the welding of dissimilar metals, low-temperature service stainless steel, mild steel and Cr-Mo steel andapplicable for AlSI 310S.

Characteristics and Applications:
The weld metal of E 310 is a full austenite structure (26.5Cr-1Ni). Heat resistance, corrosion resistanceand toughness of E 310 are good without the need of pre-heat and post-weld heat treatment. lt is suitablefor the welding of dissimilar metals, low-temperature service stainless steel, mild steel and Cr-Mo steel andapplicable for AlSI 310S. Proper base metals are including stainless steel plate, steel strip, steel tube,seamless pipe, heat transfer tube, pressure vessel, steel bar and casting iron.
Notes on usage:
1.Clean up the contaminations on the base metal, groove and pass to pass with stainless steel brush.
2.Maintaining short arc length as possible is highly recommended. While welding with weave method, movingrange should be controlled within 2.5 times of the wire's dia.
3. Dry the electrodes at 250~300℃ for 60 minutes before use. Take out consumables for half dayconsumption and keep in the environment at 100~150℃ during welding process.
4.Due to intensive content of Cr and Ni, note to play stick with single acting method and lower current andkeep inter-pass temperature under 150℃ with single-acting process to prevent from cracking.
