Core features
Excellent thermal cracking resistance:
This is the most prominent advantage of ER307Ti. Its chemical composition (high manganese, high nickel) ensures that the weld metal forms a completely austenitic structure after solidification. This structure can dissolve more impurities (such as phosphorus, sulfur), and has high thermal plasticity, thereby significantly reducing the tendency to produce thermal cracks (such as solidification cracks) during the welding process.
High intensity and excellent toughness:
The weld metal possesses extremely high tensile strength and yield strength, while maintaining the inherent good impact toughness of austenitic steel. This enables the welded joint to withstand severe impacts, vibrations and deformations.
Welding capability for different types of steel:
It is an ideal choice for connecting austenitic manganese steel (such as 13% manganese steel) with carbon steel or low-alloy steel. It can effectively "harmonize" the significant differences in chemical composition, thermal expansion coefficient and mechanical properties between the two base materials, forming a strong and defect-free weld.
Excellent processing performance:
During welding, the arc is stable, with little spatter, and the weld seam is well-formed and aesthetically pleasing. The addition of titanium (Ti) helps to refine the molten droplets, improve the arc characteristics, and make the weld seam smoother.
Resistance to metal dusting:
In certain specific wear applications, it can resist the "metal pulverization" phenomenon, which is a particular form of surface wear.
